We try to minimize risks, but at all times, at minimum, you should be using a VPN. We recommend the Tor Browser for daily usage.

This forum is designed to be static. The benefit of a static site is that it’s easier to back up. Hosting costs are also much lower—or even free—which means we don’t need to run ads. Static sites are generally more secure because they don’t require a database or dynamic backend. We rely on Codeberg’s security to prevent unauthorized access to the posts.

Be cautious when clicking external links. Even though they generally can’t control your computer unless there’s a zero-day exploit, it’s still wise to stay vigilant.

Proving You’re the Author (Optional)

To keep things simple and prevent impersonation, authors generally aren’t allowed to identify themselves in the comments. This helps maintain fairness and avoid confusion, especially since our comment system doesn’t support identity verification.

Only administrators and moderators can identify themselves in the comments; they have an “Administrator/Moderator” tag next to their names.

You might be asking, “Am I censoring your comments by using an approval system?” That is true, but by default, we allow all comments and have disabled any spam filters.

That said, if you really want to comment as the verified author of your post, there’s one exception: PGP-signed comments.

If you submitted your post and included a PGP public key, you’re welcome to sign any follow-up comment with your private key. Anyone can then verify that the comment is genuinely from the same person who submitted the post — without needing to know who you are. You must include your public key in a file hosted on Catbox or another privacy-focused direct file link service. Please check the Misc section in the FMHY page for other hosts that support direct linking.

This is totally optional and meant for those who are comfortable using PGP. If you’re not using it, just don’t claim to be the author in the comments.
