Using This Platform

To start a new thread, use the Thread Maker tool to generate a properly formatted Markdown file. Once you’ve created your file, place it in the content/posts directory and submit your changes via a pull request to our Codeberg repository: https://codeberg.org/eli32/censorship-forum. After the pull request is reviewed and merged, your thread will go live.

If you’re unable to use pull requests, you may also submit your content via email. In that case, simply copy and paste the generated Markdown text from the Thread Maker tool. Email submissions are manually reviewed and added by a moderator when time permits, so please note that this method takes significantly longer.

Preferred submission method: pull requests using the Thread Maker

Alternative (slower) method: email with Markdown file attached

How to Submit via Email

What Content Is Allowed?

This space is dedicated to censorship-related topics, including discussions, support, and resources. Please ensure your contributions comply with Codeberg’s content policy.

Required Formatting Guidelines

To ensure your pull request is accepted, please follow these formatting rules (this applies only to those who wrote the file manually):

  1. Name: Include your name or handle. This can be your username from Discord, GitHub, Codeberg, Reddit, or your GitHub display name. You may also use the name used in thread comments.

  2. Timestamp: Add a timestamp in ISO 8601 format (e.g., 2025-06-16T12:34:56Z).

  3. Thread Requirements:

    • Your thread must have a title.
    • Include at least 10 words of meaningful context or content.
    • If your thread includes images, please use Catbox to host the images.

Pull requests that do not follow these requirements may be rejected. You must put the required metadata inside the markdown headers.

Content Review Process

Are we censoring you by reviewing your work?

Content review may feel like censorship, but it is required to comply with Codeberg’s content policy. I would say it’s less strict than GitHub’s, but it’s still there. You are welcome to discuss anything censorship-related in our IRC chat — that’s coming later. All pull requests are public, so the community can decide whether it’s fair or not.
